I first met Liz and Richard on a grey, cold day in February. They had driven up from Devon where they live to meet me in Marlow, in Buckinghamshire. We started their Pre wedding photoshoot to avoid the threatening showers.
When we went to warm up and chat over a hot chocolate, I just loved the sound and vision of their day.
They were married in Tylers Green, in Buckinghamshire and every little detail, attention and care that had gone into the planning, just paid off.
They say you can plan everything but the weather, but luckily for them they had the most gorgeous summers day, which was the perfect climate for the reception in Liz’s parents meadow garden in Penn, near Beaconsfield.
The marquee was dressed so beautifully with hand made and stitched bunting, with efforts from both the Mother of the bride, Mother of the Groom, Grandmother and sister. A true Family affair.
And there was the Cake.
Did someone say wedding cake?
The Groom’s sister was the creator of this absolutely amazing naked cake, which I am sure you will agree looks just divine.
The bride and grooms family were lovely and so hospitable.
Oh and I have to say, the flower girl, who was the bride’s niece, was just as cute as a button and really rocked it in her pink wellies.
After taking photographs of the Groom and his stags, they serenaded the Bride, impromptu to “You’ve lost that loving feeling” in true Top Gun film style. (showing my age now)
A lovely relaxed day, and definitely from my point of view as an experienced wedding photographer in Oxfordshire, it was a ‘Perfect’ wedding 🙂 x
