Crikey, they are out very early this year!

I noticed so many out too last week, when I was away for a few days in ‘not so sunny Dorset’.

I got my Bluebell fix twice today, unexpectedly.

I am known as ‘The Bluebell queen’

It’s my favourite time of year. 🙏🏻😍

First time today during a family portrait that started at their home & then we decided to visit their local woods as the ‘bells’ are out, & second time visiting Greys Court National Trust with my family.

Sadly (due to work & personal commitments) I haven’t run my Bluebell sessions this year, but I’m also thankful as it would be sending me into a mild panic, having to rearrange all the dates & sessions.

The bluebells are usually out towards the end of April.

Last year they were a bit later, and I was photographing right up to 8th May!

The weather conditions & how sheltered they are affects when they bloom, add in back up dates for rain or if they are out, it can be a big logistical jigsaw, managing the multiple sessions.

Bluebells are only around for a couple of weeks, 10 days at their best.

Please be careful in the bluebell woods, & avoid picking them or walking through or sitting on them, stick to a path close by to protect them. 👍🏻🪻
